How HSK Atlas reviews and publishes content.
Version accuracy
“HSK” means the established six-level exam unless a page explicitly says HSK 3.0. The same headword can belong to both datasets while retaining separate level memberships.
Official facts and editorial guidance
Exam structure and rollout claims are checked against official HSK publications. Study plans, grammar organization and learning advice are HSK Atlas editorial guidance and are not presented as official exam requirements.
Dictionary material
Pinyin and English glosses use CC-CEDICT where possible. Dictionary senses can be broader than the syllabus meaning, so reviewed guides select a concise learner-facing definition while retaining attribution.
Page-quality threshold
Complete vocabulary data belongs in grouped lists, search, quizzes and comparison tools. HSK Atlas does not create an indexable page for every row. A standalone word page requires original usage guidance, examples and useful links beyond the fields already visible in a vocabulary table.
Characters are also grouped by level or learning task unless an individual character page has enough original reference value to justify its own URL.
Changing facts
Exam status, dates and rollout claims include a verification date and an official source. These claims are reviewed more frequently than stable vocabulary membership.
Corrections
Confirmed errors are corrected in the source data or editorial entry, tested and redeployed. Review dates change only after meaningful review.
