One public total, nine level entries

HSK 3.0 is presented publicly as 11,000 vocabulary entries. Levels 7, 8 and 9 use one shared advanced syllabus inventory, so this site does not manufacture separate advanced lists to make the navigation look fuller.

What each vocabulary list includes

How vocabulary difficulty progresses across levels

The HSK 3.0 vocabulary syllabus is cumulative: each higher level includes all words from the levels below it, so learners continuously build on what they already know.

• Levels 1–2: ~500 cumulative words — high-frequency daily vocabulary such as greetings, numbers, food and basic verbs.
• Levels 3–4: ~1,500 cumulative words — broader daily situations including travel, health and education.
• Levels 5–6: ~3,500 cumulative words — connected discourse covering opinions, arguments and professional topics.
• Levels 7–9: ~11,000 cumulative words — advanced academic and professional Chinese.
