When HSK results are released
Result timing depends on session, format and local operation. Internet-based tests are usually released faster than paper-based tests, but holiday schedules and center processing can change the window. Your admission ticket, candidate account and official notice are the final references.
What your HSK score means — and what it does not mean
- It confirms exam performance for a specific level and date.
- It does not list every missed word, so you still need vocabulary and reading review to find gaps.
- It does not equal fluency; speaking confidence, writing control and real conversation need separate practice.
- It does not automatically convert to HSK 3.0; use a vocabulary comparison and your actual program requirements.
What to do after you receive results
- If you passed comfortably: open the next level hub and sample its vocabulary and mock test.
- If you barely passed: review weak sections before moving up; higher levels are cumulative.
- If you did not pass: use the mock test breakdown to separate listening, reading and writing gaps.
- If you need HSK 3.0 alignment: compare the current list against HSK 3.0 before choosing a new target.

Frequently asked questions
How do I check my HSK score?
Check your result through the official candidate account or result channel connected to your registration. HSK Atlas cannot access or issue personal scores.
What score do I need to pass HSK?
In the current HSK 1–6 structure, HSK 1–2 are scored out of 200 with a common pass threshold of 120, and HSK 3–6 are scored out of 300 with a common pass threshold of 180.
When are HSK results released?
The release window depends on test format and session. Internet-based results are often faster than paper-based results, but your official registration notice is the source of truth.
Does an HSK pass mean I know every word at that level?
No. A score confirms exam performance, not mastery of every vocabulary item, grammar pattern or real-life communication task.
